Try the Shiba Classic testnetWallet, test tokens, first transfers

Bridge, Marketplace and Claim run on test networks first: Ethereum Sepolia and Solana Devnet. The code is real, the tokens are not. Nothing here has any value.

This guide takes you from an empty wallet to your first bridge transfer. If something looks wrong along the way, tell us in Telegram.

Safety first

Test networks attract scammers too. Five rules keep you safe:

  • Use a new wallet just for testing. Never your main wallet with real funds.
  • Never enter your seed phrase. Not on a website, not in a form, not in a chat. Nobody from Shiba Classic will ever ask for it.
  • Nobody sells test SHIBC. Test tokens are free. Anyone asking money for them is a scammer.
  • Check the address bar. Our pages live on shibaclassic.io; buying on the Marketplace happens in our partner's app on stage-marketplace.threshold.gg.
  • Check the contracts. The addresses are listed in the questions at the end of this page.

Set up your wallet

MetaMask covers Ethereum Sepolia, Phantom covers Solana Devnet. The Bridge needs both. For Claim, MetaMask is enough.

  1. Install MetaMask and Phantom in your browser and create a new wallet in each.
  2. MetaMask: open the network menu, turn on “Show test networks” and choose Sepolia. MetaMask's help page shows where.
  3. Phantom: open Settings, then Developer Settings. Turn on Testnet Mode and choose Solana Devnet.
  4. To see test SHIBC in MetaMask, import the token by its address: 0x8DF2d725cAeD5994459d2b75739f37ebd4886bA6. Phantom shows SHIBC by itself once some arrives.
  5. On our Web3 pages, set “Network & version” to Testnet. MetaMask is then asked to switch to Sepolia. In Phantom, Testnet Mode has to be on.

Get test tokens

Every transfer costs a little gas: Sepolia ETH on Ethereum, Devnet SOL on Solana. Public faucets hand them out for free:

  • Google Cloud Sepolia faucet: sign in with a Google account and paste your MetaMask address.
  • Sepolia PoW faucet: no account. Your browser mines for a few minutes, then you claim.
  • Solana faucet: choose Devnet and paste your Phantom address. Without a login you get two requests every eight hours.

Test SHIBC: ask in our Telegram group and post your Sepolia address. A faucet in the community bot is on its way.

A faucet that asks for a seed phrase, a private key or a payment is not a faucet. Close it.

Bridge there and back

  1. Open the Bridge and connect MetaMask.
  2. From Ethereum Sepolia to Solana Devnet: paste your Phantom address as the recipient and enter an amount.
  3. Check the fee shown, then confirm in MetaMask: first the approval for exactly this amount of SHIBC, then the transfer itself.
  4. The transfer takes a few minutes. You can follow it on LayerZero Scan.
  5. Back again: press the arrow button between the two networks. Now you connect Phantom, and your MetaMask address is the recipient.

The amount that arrives can be a little smaller. The Bridge moves amounts in steps of 0.001 SHIBC, and the rest stays in your wallet.

Marketplace and Claim

Marketplace: the marketplace page lists open offers for NFTs and game items. Buying happens in the marketplace app, with Phantom on Devnet. A listing is priced in SHIBC or SOL; test SHIBC on Solana comes over the Bridge. At times there may be no listings.

Claim: the claim portal pays an epoch's share to the addresses in its snapshot. Connect MetaMask on Sepolia, choose the epoch and paste its manifest link (IPFS). The portal checks the manifest against the chain and shows your share. A fresh test wallet usually has none yet.

Tokens, contracts, help

Questions about the testnet

No. Test SHIBC, Sepolia ETH and Devnet SOL cannot be exchanged for real money, and they never turn into real SHIBC. Keep test and real wallets apart.

A contract on mainnet is hard to change. On the test networks everyone can try the whole path first, from the fee to the burn, without risk.
